dont let me down

Don't let me down

We swing dangerously between

utter-selfishness and over-enthusiastic

concern for our people.

We do so because we cannot help ourselves.

Our background programmed us with a sense of self preservation

but our intellect forces us to realize on

how much we actually depend on others.

Every time we succumb into our own selfishness,

the world enters into another depressing periods,

where hunger seem to rule.

Mankind retreats into their corners,

allowing great works of evil to wash over the planet.

This pattern repeats itself over and over again,

as each new age of selfishness starts promising enough,

but turns on its own inherent ugliness.

The world has been so cold and horrible of late,

possibly dipping to a new low point.

We all are beginning to manifest concern for oneself only

by allowing them to stampede all over us

and embracing it.

If we want to redeem ourselves,

we have to start making better choices where

ones that aren't based on our needs alone.

In accepting less,

we will achieve more,

way more.

There's is still hope for redemption and

as the famous beatles song goes;

don't let me down.

Louis Armstrong sings 'What a wonderful world'

Louis Armstrong sings 'What a wonderful world'

Fascism is an ideology that has brought great catastrophes to humanity.

Not only has it caused millions of people to be killed

because of their race,

but it has also attempted to abolish all human values.

Fascism,

the more it considers the humanity development based on political considerations,

the more it doesn't believe in the possibility of perpetual peace.

Take for an example;

A merciless struggle continues today between

two parties living in the land of war-torn Palestine.

The Israeli army praticing a policy of wipe out annihilation and

the Palestinians are being subjected to cruelty

as the whole world observes.

The fight against Darwinism with regards to

injustice and racism in the world seems to be faltering.

Believers should stop defending its ideological meaning,

for it contradicts the truths of Islam and even Christianity.

Some may support Darwinism as

they are unaware of the disasters

that it has brought upon humanity.

I am not losing hope on mankind but

if the prophecy of judgement day is true,

then may God have mercy on us.

I'm sorry, Louis Armstrong.

I strongly beg to differ.

Adulthood

When Peterpan meets his biggest nemesis : Adulthood

As I round up my first one and half year of adulthood,

I feel I should recap the feelings that gives me.

You wake up every morning,

the same time.

You see the same pathetic faces (excluding your loved ones).

Do the same things.

It’s not the most riveting experience.

We are all just human,

mostly muddling along the best we can.

I worry that the adolescence of fun is almost over

and that we're settling into stagnant, boring adulthood

where you just laboriously undertake in the world as others made it,

occasionally wistfully reminiscing the time when

you thought endless possibility was all around you.

Where you realize that,

regardless of how well you’re paid,

it’s the same old thing for many years to come

until your spirit is finally broken.

Does everyone go through this in their lives?

If one of the requirements for being an adult

is you have to obligatorily make daily morning pilgrimage

to Starbucks just to fulfill your daily dose of caffeine,

then,

I think I want to be a kid forever.

The only thing i enjoyed about adulthood is just

adult videos.

That's it.

PERIOD.

Stephen King : The "IT" is in my kitchen

Stephen King : The "IT" is in my kitchen

It just sits there,

just around the corner of my kitchen.

The kitchen,

home to so many fond memories

good hearty meals,

laughing while cleaning up,

tripped when mopping the floor (hahaha..attempt to breakdance..how smart)

but now dark and lonely and avoided

because if I go in the kitchen,

I just might see "it".

Standing there.

Growing bigger,

more terrifying and

a little more incomprehensible each day.

Until one night,

I decided i couldn't take it anymore

that i must face "it",

and storm into the kitchen with guts of rambo

with a physique of dumbo the elephant.

I switched on the light and

turn towards the desk,

where I can finally see,

in the bright overhead lights,

there "it" was with its mighty intimidating fangs

gnawing on my precious apple crumble left-overs.

(i was about to eat that though).

Then,

it sensed my annoying presence and

there we were,

staring into each others eyes

I could sense such unrequited rivalry.

The odds were immensely against me but

I knew there was no turning back.

Somehow,

my legs seemed to be glued to the spot and

cold sweat began dripping.

The sudden eruption of power as it flew towards my direction

as it charges.

I ran screaming/squeling from the kitchen and into my room,

praying it won't enter in,

terrorizing me.

Sleeping in fear with my blanket being the only source of "protection".

Well,

that's how my life used to be.

A monstrous struggle to deal with the mighty

king of fear,

our "friendly" neighbourhood cockroach.

haha

Don't let things get out of hand.

Use shieldtox.

Inner beauty : Thing of the past

Beauty is in the eyes of those who wear spectacles

Ooo

Happy New Year !

Let me make some dogmatic remarks about beauty.

Beauty of appearance is what we call looking good.

It has little to do with personality,

character or morality,

and that is because anything that applies to how things look is

not a reliable guide to many of their other qualities.

We must be careful here,

there is such a thing as "inner" beauty,

to be contrasted with the beauty of appearance.

For even if you love someone on account of their character or whatever,

these features will manifest themselves in the appearance of the person in question.

You will literally perceive them in their face,

their behavior.

It is this beauty that I find philosophically interesting.

It certainly is valuable,

although I am not sure its value is pure.

Hypocrisy in the society which virtually says natural beauty matters more than

anything whereas in reality they themselves knock

at the door of cosmetic surgeons.

Truth hurts, i know.

The old cliche "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder"

began to plant doubts in me as

the volatile question arises:

How genuine is the beholder ?

hmmmm..
