To err is human. To blame is politics. Sorry is still the hardest word

To err is human. To blame is politics. Sorry is still the hardest word

A bitter tug of war that is straining relationships and

distancing people further,

when an apology could easily make things, right?

Because 'Sorry' seems to be the hardest word.

Apologizing is not the easiest of tasks but

often involves swallowing our pride and

admitting we were wrong.

Depending on the magnitude of the mistake,

it may take more than a simple sorry to make amends.

Whether it's a slight transgression or

an all-out blow,

coping with an offense on any level can put even

the most generous spirit to the test.

The act of apologizing brings us face to face with guilt

and there’s also the fear that we won’t be forgiven.

Seeking for forgiveness also psychologically

puts us in a somewhat subordinate position,

which makes many people uncomfortable.

Apologies won’t undo the hurt or harm that may have already been done,

but they do go a long way towards restoring dignity and

repairing damaged relationships.

Whether you apologise in person,

do take care to convey that your apology is genuine and

that it comes with an unconditional desire to

fix whatever the problem may have been.

=)

Apology is egotism wrong side out.

When Terminator movie is given much thought

When Terminator movie is given much thought

Modern times have given more importance to creative man

as an autonomous genius embracing the characteristics of the divine creator.

The genius is the man who is not just capable of reproducing things

according to a given rule,

but of creating new rules.

Since ancient times,

man's creative imagination are closely related to our myths.

Our dreams,

and not so much our rationality,

are at the origin of artificiality.

The human condition being separated from death,

gives all our artificial products a mythological character.

Artificiality conceived as dreams to overcoming this condition,

as dreams of power.

When artificiality forgets its limits,

it gives rise to myths,

particularly when reason is sleeping but

also when it is dreaming,

the artificial becomes more like a nightmare than like something beneficial.

Man knows that one day,

it might just slash us all from our backs but

we ignored the consequences and continue to entangle

ourselves with new forms of computational artificiality.

A blind Nemesis ?

Maybe.

I will leave it to you to decide.

But when the day comes,

be prepared to resurrect Arnold Swarchenegger from the dead.

Till then,

I'll be back.

Hasta la vista, baby !
