Regret : The futile parasite

Life is short,

who says it's fair

and

yes...

never fail to deliver unexpected twists.

Mankind constantly wonder how their lives would be now if they had done things differently in the past.

Such regret can be futile.

As you go through life,

it is better to accept your actions,

and learn from them.

Regret is a sense of loss,

dissatisfaction.

It is a feeling of remorse for an omission.

A person who lives with regret constantly think of what

or how he could have done differently.

It's good to take a retrospective look every once in a while to

ensure that you are satisfied with the direction your life is going.

The notion of regret can become annihilating when it routinely escalates small problems into bigger issues.

Accept reality.

Life is a series of events that unfold before you.

Some are good and

unfortunately,

some are bad.

Face it.

You must experience the bitter to enjoy the sweetness.

Nevertheless,

we all need to recognize things we cannot change and

learn to accept the consequences of our actions.

Everything that has happened to you in the past has happened for a reason.

It's good to learn from history so that it doesn't repeat itself

but don't dwell on it.

The past is what the future holds

and let go of your past to make your future stronger.

For the benefit of your body and mind,

don't live with regret.

=]

I'm stronger. I'm fitter. I'm wiser now (but still fail napfa..hahaha..nabei)

Integrity and Weddings

It is a thriving world in which integrity wears a "for sale" sign and

there is no secret to which it can be bought and sold everyday.

This is human nature.

To think otherwise is naive.

Sometimes,

money alone won’t always suffice.

Hence,

you should begin by identifying an alternative approach

by spotting and exploiting your own Achilles heel

by means of ethical principles.

To forewarn you guys,

penetrating into psychological makeup of your own self is no easy task.

Rule 1:

Responsibility is the foundation of character and integrity.

Learn to accept responsibility for your actions,

without any excuses.

Accept blame as readily as you do credit.

Rule 2:

Character flaws are by default.

Be aware of your traits and overall personality.

Work on suppressing character weaknesses and

further enhance your strong traits.

Rule 3:

Be true to yourself.

Are Weddings Really Worth The Price ?

With the influx of lavish weddings (resulting to out-of-control price tags),

more a status symbol?

Beauty

Beauty is in the eye of the BEER - holder ?

It intrigues me as to why people have this common perception

that they are expected to look a certain way in order to "fit in" with society.

We all would really love to believe this quaint saying,

"beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

but how true is that phrase when the beholder has been brainwashed,

so to speak,

into subscribing to the belief that beauty is the artificial look we see on glamour mags or in TV ?

For some time now,

that image has consisted mainly of white voluptious women

or

half naked sweaty glistering tanned caucasion men and

eventually,

set the "white standard of beauty".

We also know that symmetry is inherently attractive to the human eye.

So a package (the whole body) can seem beautiful simply because of the similarity between its left and right sides.

But i guess,

it all comes down to how one feels inside about themselves.

Unfortunately,

there is the viscous cycle of doubt that people constantly face

so it's often hard to reconcile your inner voices with the outside images thrown at you everyday.

Many would buy into the trends and fashions that dictate beauty.

Female femininity and morbid beauty became formulaic due

to all the TV shows abound with images of heavenly-looking models.

Fitness clubs persuade people to join not so they will lower their risk of heart disease

but so they will aspire to be beautiful on the outside.

No one sell things that will help them on the inside.

Wait..using 'no one' is probably an exaggeration.

Maybe..not many people even attempt to.

In the end,

you can look at all of this and

say that there will always be standards of beauty

and those who aspire to live up those standards

and those wanting to make a profit off those standards.

The media portrays what people want to see and

apparently,

it's sex and "beauty".

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ?

It depends.

But i still choose to believe

"A thing of beauty is a joy forever"

Intelligence

Intelligence : A hindrance ?

It's funny to understand the perspective of life

when someone just oozes an ounce of intellectual fact

which we call knowledge,

he or she is perceived as smart,

wise and

probably charming.

But have you ever give a thought to why some people are assumably smart

to certain people only

maybe like the attractive party ?

And let's say intelligence managed to get him hitched,

on the long run,

would his "intelligence" would very much attract the other party

or

would it be a big hindrance to practically almost everything ?

Is there any truth to the notion that couples with a similar intelligence

tend to have longer-lasting relationships?

Birds of a feather,

flock together?

Maybe.

Regardless of his or her intelligence,

I think it's how he or she cultivate the chemistry.

The broads who sit at opposite ends of the spectrum tend to be rare.

Both party may be of different worlds

but

both must work to retain own image and reputation regardless

of whether he or she is a professor in NUS

or a pornstar in hotel erotica *wagbrow*

(i'm pretty sure some of you guys will google for it after this)

I guess its your responsibilty to build the bridge to a workable connection.

A request : Arm yourself accordingly.

PS : i'm most likely to be assigned to write an article on 'Love Hurts'

eeeeeeekkk...imagine me as "aunt aggie"

Mother Fucker..if you guys call me by that name..i swear i crack your nuts if you have any

racism : a revelation of the end ?

Racism : A revelation of the end ?

We talked about how we are supposed to save the planet.

We bragged about how we worked as one to stop injustice and famishment around the solitary globe.

We even mentioned how we love each other.

We ?

We..as in you and me..

or just you and YOURSELF ?

Man..the word 'we' is simply over-rated and abused.

I came across a blog

and this particular paragraph was more than enough to coagulate my blood from "boiling".

" This 3 indians just came and played v.ball with us -_-"

Pretty decent line till came this

"If japs or koreans approach me i wouldn't mind..Y ? because they have same skin colour as us"

Such complex interplay of individual attitude.

Racism of any kind is repulsive.

But why is it that we must set the "38th parallel" amongst ourselves ?

Does color and culture really play big significance ?

Does being white or yellow makes you any better ?

Debates over racism often suffer from a lack of clarity.

Many conflate racism with earlier forms of ethnic and national conflict.

Ethnic identity and ethno-nationalism became a source of conflict even till today.

This ideology devalues and renders inferiority to those groups

as this is reflected and perpetuated by cultural inequalities in society.

Racism is destructive and a persistent evil.

It fuels the fire of suffering.

Deal with it and not go with it.

Do it before it gets under your skin.

peace

Assalamualaikum.

Double STandards

Double Standards

It has been an enjoyable while

and i apologize for not blogging as i lack time.

But these few days has been finest few days of my life.

Let's just say 3.8 is currently my favourite digit and journalism has somehow diffuse into my blood.

*winks*

kk..now let's get down to business (this is what i do best)

Believe it or not,

we live in a world of vicious double standards.

Double standards are never just until they actually work in your favor.

It's time you learned to embrace society's irrational impartiality

and made it work for you.

Let's take for an example.

A promiscuous woman is labeled a skank

but when the man is promiscuous,

he is heralded as a stud.

Injustice,

perhaps ?

Let us take a glimpse at the things men can get away with that women simply can't.

1) Men can look like crap

Most men expect women to look like they're preparing to compete in the Miss Universe Pageant.

Sounds familiar ?

Dont worry..i'm cool with almost anything..but nothing lagi best !

Amir and Zee once said

" Orang da lawa..pakai apa-apa pon lawa..tak pakai apa-apa..lagi lawa..!!"

hahaha..they're sure to be slaughtered

To that end,

a woman wearing anything other than an evening gown is viewed as something of a mild disappointment.

Luckily,

men aren't held to the same ridiculously high standards.

Facial stubbles,

probably having the same pair of shoes to last for 2 years.

Hell,

we can keep the same haircut for decades at a time.

And still...nyehehehehehe

2) Shaving.probably i'll do it later..maybe tomorrow..maybe next week..ahh..forget it

For most men,

body hair is a cherished sign of virility.

The very first chest hair is awaited eagerly and silently celebrated

when it finally arrives.

*looking at meen*

The same thing,

patches of hair on your pits and legs signify that you've graduated from boyhood

*looking at meen again*

While no man wants to look like a Wookie (chewbacca from star wars),

a little dabbling of follicles is a welcome sight.

The same cannot be applied to women.

In order to appease the male species,

the chicks must undergo a grueling regime of plucking and waxing

that has more in common with saddism

than it does with personal hygiene.

*wagbrow*

But then again,

men don't usually get away with things easily.

REMEMBER THAT !

______________________________________________________________________________________

In the beginning,

God created the Heaven and the earth.

He created the birds of the air and the beasts of the fields

and He looked at His creation and

He saw that it was good.

Then,

God created man,

and it’s been downhill ever since.

The story goes on to say that God created man in His own image

but there’s not much proof of that.

After all,

God made the sun and the moon and the stars,

and all man makes is trouble.

And when man finds himself in trouble,

which is most of the time,

he turns to something bigger than himself.

To love or faith or religion to make sense of it all.
